Folk living anywhere near Holloway will be spoilt for choice over the next week or so as the much-loved Holloway Arts Festival returns for its 10th year.

As usual, there will be an eclectic mix of street and park parties, music, theatre, film, poetry, crafts, comedy and more. The fun kicked off today (Friday) and runs until Sunday June 10.

The First Friday Film Club opens proceedings tonight, featuring black comedy Festival introduced by Pleasance director Anthony Alderstone.

Founders of the ground-breaking dance group Ballet Boyz, William Trevitt and Michael Nunn, will discuss their work with psychoanalyst Luis Rodríguez de la Sierra on Wednesday, June 6, at London Metropolitan University.

John Hegley urges audience members to bring their inner children along to his show Animal Alphaboating for All on Sunday, June 3 at Platform in Hornsey Road, while stand-up Josie Long is the special guest at The Horatia in Holloway Road on Thursday, June 7.

There will also be plenty of royal fun with the Jubilee-themed Mayton Street Festival 2012 on Saturday, June 2, free live music at the popular Big Day Out in Whittington Park on Sunday, June 3, and more.
