Steven Caulker is excited by representing Team GB at the Olympics
Tottenham defender Steven Caulker knows that representing Great Britain at London 2012 is something he will look back on for many years.
The 20-year-old impressed during his loan spell at Swansea last season to earn the call-up.
“When I was told I was in the initial squad of 35 I just hoped I would get the call,” Caulker told the club’s official site.
“The call came and now it’s a case of getting ready for the Olympics.
“I’m delighted to be part of it and the fact it’s here in Britain means it will be a huge event and something I’ll no doubt look back on for many, many years.”
With the Premier League title already in Manchester United’s hands and the relegation issues also decided, the battle for European football is the only unanswered question ahead of Sunday’s final round of games.
