Transfer news: Tottenham boss reveals talks to sign Emmanuel Adebayor are ongoing
Andre Villas-Boas admits he is keen to snare a new striker but remains hopeful that Emmanuel Adebayor will finally sign for Tottenham next week.
The Togo striker was on loan at Spurs all last season but talks to bring him to White Hart Lane permanently have so fair failed.
The boss of the north Londoner said: “There are talks (with City). They have been happening for quite some time.
“We have touched on different players in that position, but we have not been able to conclude a deal.
“Our focus and attention is towards that position, which we will try to sort out next week.”
