Transfer news: Giovani Dos Santos wants to return to Spain

Tottenham midfielder Giovani Dos Santos has revealed that he still wants to leave Tottenham, despite Andre Villas-Boas taking charge at White Hart Lane.

The former Barcelona man has only made two Premier League starts since joining four years ago.

“I want to return to Spain. There is a new coach at Tottenham, a new season is starting and it is clear to me that I want to return to Spanish football.”

He added: “I think that I will be able to announce the move soon.”

Dos Santos, who cost £4.7million four years ago, has accused Tottenham of pricing him out of a move.

“Tottenham have always tried to sell me for double the price that they paid for me,” he said.

“There are offers, but nothing can be made public yet.”
