Transfer news: Rafael van der Vaart has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane
Hamburg coach Thorsten Fink has revealed that Tottenham and the German club are miles apart with their negotiations for Rafael van der Vaart.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a return to his former club, who he left for Real Madrid in 2008.
Fink is quoted in Morgenpost as saying: “When two parties are that far apart there is no basis to negotiate.”
The Bundesliga club are believed to be optimistic about a return as it is understood that the Dutchman has already agreed personal terms.
