Former West Ham chief hoping for a quick return to management
Harry Redknapp is hoping for a speedy return to management following his sacking as Tottenham boss.
The 65-year-old led the north Londoners to fourth in the Premier League, but had to settle for Europa League football for next season after sixth place Chelsea won the Champions League.
Redknapp was dismissed on June 13 after his relationship with chairman Daniel Levy broke down.
The former West Ham boss had been linked with a move to Qatar and admitted he would consider relocating from his Sandbanks home if the job was right.
“I’m taking a short break and intend to be back into management very soon – hopefully even within a couple of weeks,” Redknapp told Goal.com.
“The idea I wouldn’t move away from the area to manage is daft. If the job is the right one that’s all that matters.”
