Portugal midfielder Joao Moutinho has hailed Tottenham manager target Andre Villas-Boas, claiming he would link up with the former Chelsea boss tomorrow if he could.

The Portuguese boss is the favourite for the Spurs job and could make a move for the £25million rated Porto midfielder, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

“AVB is one of the best coaches I’ve worked with,” Moutinho is quoted as saying in the Sun. “I’d work with him again tomorrow.

“I don’t really know what happened at Chelsea - but when you employ a new coach you have to give him time.”
