Transfer news: Carlos Vela is set to join Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad manager Philippe Montanier has insisted his desire to bring Arsenal striker Carlos Vela to the club, believing the Mexico international will complete his move next week.

The 23-year-old scored 12 goals in 35 games, keeping the Basque side in La Liga and is keen to stay at the San Sebastian.

“I hope next week that Carlos is with us,” Montanier is quoted as saying in El Diario Vasco.
