Transfer news: Joel Campbell has joined Real Betis on loan
Arsenal striker Joel Campbell has joined Real Betis on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old Costa Rica international moved to the Gunners in 2011 but spent last season on loan at Lorient and is still not eligible to play in England due to work permit rules and the Costa Rican is excited by his move to Spain.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to grow,” Campbell told Fox TV before the move was completed. “I am going to the world’s best league, and I want to play. I want to show what I am capable of.”
