Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has been warned by Uefa for implying that he had placed a bet on a team-mate in a Champions League match.

Players are not allowed to put wagers on matches involving their own team.

A Uefa spokesman told The Sun: “The player has been warned for being in breach of the principles of integrity of matches and competitions.

“The disciplinary measure was a warning.”
