Arsenal star disciplined by Uefa

Jack Wilshire has been warned by the governing body of European football about betting on the Gunners’ games

Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has been warned by Uefa for implying that he had placed a bet on a team-mate in a Champions League match.

Players are not allowed to put wagers on matches involving their own team.

A Uefa spokesman told The Sun: “The player has been warned for being in breach of the principles of integrity of matches and competitions.

“The disciplinary measure was a warning.”
