Scrum-half missed end of last season through injury
London Wasps scrum-half Joe Simpson is delighted to be back after injury ruled him out of the tail end of last season with a dislocated shoulder.
He has now recovered and is set to return for the start of their Aviva Premiership campaign.
“I can’t wait to get started and get out there playing if selected,” he said.
“Things are very promising at Wasps at the moment and we’ve brought in some high quality signings who are only going to help us improve.
“I would be the first to say that Nic Berry was one of the stand-out players at the Club last year so I know what a battle I have on my hands.
“That spurs me on to improve because there are aspects to his game I can hugely learn from and we get on very well.
“With him and Charlie Davies, who is a different more abrasive type of nine, there is a really tough pool here so you can’t take anything for granted.”
Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell has been called into the England squad for the forthcoming friendlies against Republic of Ireland and Brazil.
