Transfer news: Shakhtar reject Willian offer
Shakhtar have revealed that they have turned down Tottenham’s latest offer for playmaker Willian.
The Brazilian is a target of Andre Villas-Boas, who wanted him at Chelsea and the player, himself, wants a move to the Premier League.
“Mr. Levy, the Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur FC, personally flew to Donetsk to negotiate over Willian. But his latest offer was 15 million euros, which we, of course, did not accept,” Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin told the club’s official website.
“Levy, by the way, hinted that besides Willian, Villas-Boas was interested in Douglas Costa and Fernandinho, but he mentioned that just casually, without any specifics.”
Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell has been called into the England squad for the forthcoming friendlies against Republic of Ireland and Brazil.
