Spurs and Chelsea face competition from Serie A giants AC MIlan in the race for Internacional’s Leandro Damiao

Spurs and Chelsea could be pipped in the race for Brazil and Internacional forward Leandro Damiao by Italian heavyweights AC Milan.

Although the Italians are reportedly yet to make a concrete offer for the 22-year-old, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, his agent has confirmed that preliminary talks have taken place.

“It was just an exploratory meeting, a quick chat,” Castagna told Ilsussidiario.net. “There is no move for Damiao right now, even though Milan like the player.

“We will see in the future if they will want to have further talks. We did not talk about figures - it was not a negotiation.

“I do not know when and if Milan will launch a move for Damiao.”
