Ambitious about Autism marked its 15th year by hosting the walk through Highgate Wood, off Muswell Hill Road, for 60 supporters, local residents and families of children who attend its education service TreeHouse School, in Woodside Avenue.

TV presenter and Crouch End resident Sarah Cawood launched the walk and among the walkers were Ambitious about Autism parent patrons John Bercow, speaker in the House of Commons, and wife Sally, alongside their three children, one of whom has autism.

Before tackling the 3km walk through Highgate Wood, walkers took part in a Zumba warm-up.

Mrs Bercow said: “We had a lovely day meeting other families of children with autism, walking through Highgate Wood with our children and relaxing and chatting to other parents.”
