These happy faces show just how much of a success a Tottenham estate’s first funday was.
Around 140 people attended Chesnuts Estate’s funday in Fairbanks Road last weekend, enjoying the bouncy castle, a tug-of-war and some exceedingly good jerk chicken.
The afternoon – which had been supported by a number of local supermarkets and a bakery – was the first time people could remember the community coming out together and socialising.
Bob Hart, one of eight organisers behind the scenes, hopes it won’t be the last either.
He said: “We want to have more parties in the future. Our aim is to get more people involved.”
Thousands of people poured into Priory Park on Sunday for the 21st annual Crouch End Fun Run and Festival.
