A man is fighting for his life after he fell from Archway Bridge this afternoon
The man, thought to be 30, was spotted by a member of the public on top of the bridge in Highgate – known locally as suicide bridge – who then called the police and ambulance crews at around 4pm.
As the emergency services were racing to the scene, the man fell from the bridge onto the A1 road below. A team from the London Ambulance Service was on site in under a minute and began treating the man.
He was taken to the Royal London Major Trauma Centre where he remains in a critical condition.
