An inquest into the death of a cyclist who collided with a car in Tottenham earlier this month has been adjourned to allow for a police investigation into the incident.
Frank Mugisha, 41, of Meyer Green, Enfield, was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital, in Whitechapel, after the accident but died six days later on April 2.
Police were originally called to the scene of the collision in Great Cambridge Road, near the junction with White Hart Lane, at 1.50pm on March 27.
A 62 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and bailed to return to a police station in late April.
The inquest into Mr Mugisha’s death was opened at Barnet Coroner’s Court last Thursday and adjourned for six months to allow for the police investigation to be completed.
A post-mortem examination of Mr Mugisha’s body last week gave the cause of death as multiple injuries.
Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call the Road Death Investigation Unit at Chadwell Heath on 0208 597 4874.
