Hundreds of children descended on a Crouch End cricket club for the “last hurrah!” of the summer holidays.
About 550 children and parents arrived at North Middlesex Cricket Club in Park Road for Haringey Families’ annual summer fun day – complete with pony rides, trampolining and African drumming.
But while it was a little later than usual – a flooded cricket pitch delayed the event – the children could take full advantage of the last Monday of the summer holidays.
Organiser Frances Hampton, of Braemar Avenue, Wood Green, said: “It was a great day with a lovely atmosphere and lots of families getting together.”
