CHILDREN draw up some Christmas cheer as they design their own Christmas cards for a festive arts class.
Lynne Featherstone, MP for Hornsey and Wood Green, watched as year four students from her old school Highgate Primary, in Storey Road, Highgate, revealed their artistic talent for her annual Christmas card competition on Friday, November 5.
The MP asked children from across her constituency to draw whatever it is that Christmas means to them for the chance to be the winning design for her festive mail-out. The competition closed on Thursday, November 11.
Ms Featherstone said: “It’s so wonderful to see the children having so much fun. The decision this year to have an open theme has worked really well - the kids are really using their full imagination and creativity to make wonderful, colourful, sparkling designs.”
The winner is expected to be announced shortly.
