Indielectual rock band The Filibusters, seven-piece indie rock band The Mannequins, all aged 15, and singer/songwriter and guitarist Roisin McNeill, 17, were among the artists on the line-up at the Openspace Music Festival on Saturday.

The event, held in the Queen’s Wood Café in Highgate, was organised by youth charity Exposure and featured a mixture of bands and solo artists from north London.

Volunteer Donna Yeates, who helped to organise the festival, said the artists were well received by the 100-strong audience.

She added: “They really enjoyed playing there. Lots of people in the audience remarked how talented the young people were and were surprised how good they were.”
