Hundreds of people turned out for a day of British bulldog, burgers and bucking broncos at Haringey’s rugby club.
Families at Haringey Rhinos’ community day last weekend got involved with mini-rugby training sessions, skills drills, kicking competitions, games of British bulldog and rugby relay challenges to introduce new players to the sport.
The event, held at White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre in Wood Green, also saw the Rhinos’ under-16s team, only in its second season, beat Hampstead.
The club’s Felix Jakens said: “It was a really good day, it was excellent. This was not just a rugby thing, it was somewhere for the community to come along and interact.”
