This aspiring engineer pulled off just one of the A* performances by a group of St Thomas More students.
Daniel Namu-Fetha got four A*s and 10 As in his GCSEs - joining Howard Barugahare (eight A*s, three As), Simone Bovell (five A*s, six As), Karolina Zatorska (five A*s, eight As) and Aimee Duffy (two A*s, 5 As) as this year’s stand-out students.
These particular pupils have clearly met headteacher Martin Tissot’s high expectations of his students, although he was keen to point out it is not just about the top grades.
Mr Tissot said: “Although we have a number of pupils with As and A* grades, I am just as proud of those who have surpassed their targets.”
Daniel, 16, is now off to Woodhouse College in Southgate to study maths, further maths, physics and computing - but he won’t forget the school where he has spent the last five years in a hurry. He said: “It’s given me a big boost.”
