A Tottenham car park has been recognised for its good safety and security.
Tottenham Hale Retail Park has been awarded the Park Mark, Safer Parking Award after detailed inspections by Safer Parking Scheme development manager Graham Chapman and accredited Police Assessor PC Eric Childs.
Chief Inspector Mark Long, who presented the award along with the two inspectors, said: “This is an excellent achievement. The management of the retail park has worked hard to ensure that their car park meets the very high standards that must be in place to be awarded Park Mark certification not only to help to reduce crime but also help to reduce the fear of crime.
“Drivers can further reduce their chances of becoming a victim of car crime by ensuring that cars are left secure at all times and that valuables are never left inside.”
Shopping park manager Coila MacDonald was “delighted” the 450-space car park had been recognised as a safe location. She said: “It’s important that visitors can enjoy a safe shopping experience when visiting Tottenham.”
