Three Tottenham teenagers believed to have been involved in the early outbreak of last summer’s riots were arrested in dawn raids this morning.
The woman and two men were three of six suspected gang members arrested during two separate early morning raids at 11 addresses in Haringey, Walthamstow, Enfield and Hackney by officers from Operation Withern.
The officers - who were supported by Haringey police and the Territorial Support Group - believe they were involved in the early outbreak of the riots in Tottenham on August 6 and 7 last year.
The woman, 19, and the men - aged 18 and 19 - were all arrested at addresses in Tottenham on suspicion of violent disorder and burglary.
Officers also arrested a 17 year-old man at an address in Palmers Green on suspicion of violent disorder, a 17-year-old man at an address in Chingford and a 17-year-old man at an address in Stoke Newington on suspicion of violent disorder and burglary.
DCI Ian Elliott, of Operation Withern, said: “Nearly 10 months on the viewing of the CCTV is nearly complete and from this footage we are still identifying, arresting and bringing to justice large numbers of offenders. These arrests demonstrate our work is far from done.
“We would like to thank the public for their continued assistance which has been key in bringing those individuals involved to justice.”
