Haringey was among the north London boroughs targeted in early morning raids as part of the Metropolitan Police Service’s war on burglary offenders.
Officers carried out 39 search warrants at 49 different addresses in Haringey, Barnet, Brent, Camden, Harrow, Enfield, Hackney, Westminster, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire this morning as part of Operation Galaxy.
Thirty people were arrested as a result of the raids, with officers seizing about £10,000 in cash at one address in Westminster alone.
All of those arrested are currently in custody in various police stations, pending further enquiries.
A previous raid for Operation Galaxy - set up in October 2010 to identify and bring to justice burglary offenders operating in Barnet, a number of whom live in neighbouring boroughs - resulted in more than 350 charges.
