Tottenham Hostpur fans have been given extra time to get their hands on a rare book charting the club’s history.
The Club Edition Opus was donated by Spurs to former Haringey Mayor Cllr Gina Adamou to sell in an auction to raise money for her chosen charity – supporting the borough’s carers.
Cllr Adamou has now extended the deadline for bids for the Opus to May 31 in order to give more fans a chance of landing the coveted leather-bound book.
She said: “I know that there are thousands of Spurs fans in Haringey who might be interested in owning the Opus, and I want to give as many of them as possible the chance to put in a bid.
“It’s an amazing book, in mint condition, and a chance for Spurs fans to celebrate their club’s illustrious history in style.
“Every penny raised from the auction will go towards supporting carers in Haringey, so I hope that people will dig deep for such a worthy cause.”
The Opus is one of just 1,000 ever published and traces 125 years of Spurs history, including interviews with key players and chapters covering rivalry with Arsenal and legendary fans.
Written bids should be clearly marked “Spurs Opus Auction” and should include your full name, address, telephone number and the value of your bid.
Bids should be sent to The Mayor’s Parlour, Haringey Civic Centre, High Road, London N22 8LE to arrive by noon on May 31.
Thousands of people poured into Priory Park on Sunday for the 21st annual Crouch End Fun Run and Festival.
