Wood Green’s St Thomas More School has raced ahead this year, with the proportion of ‘good’ A-level passes surging 16 per cent to take it into the same bracket as the leading west Haringey schools, just 2pc shy of Highgate Wood.
A*-C grades made up 76pc of all results this year, up from 60pc last year.
Digging deeper, the proportion of grades at B and above was 39pc this year, up from just 10pc the year before, and more than a third of all grades (34pc) were either A* or A, up from only 9pc in 2011.
