A NEW gem tucked away from the bustle of West Hampstead, formerly Vhujons, Bombay Nights is situated just opposite Fortune Green park.
They opened on the 5th November this year.
It is definitely a welcome addition there being little choice of quality Indian restaurants in the area.
It's sister restaurants in Bath and Bristol were established in 2004 and won 'Best Indian Restaurant' in the bath Chronicle newspaper in 2005/ 2006.
It's well presented outside and with a sleek, simple décor within it inspires great expectations.
The fully equipped trendy bar at the back and the elegant tables and seating is very inviting, the only thing I'd suggest is a few focal points or features as the walls seem a bit bare.
A couple of large gilted mirrors would look great or an infrequent visitor to Indian restaurants I can assure you it wasn't a disappointment.
It was the kind of experience that had me thinking I'll definitely be bringing friends and family here to try this great local restaurant.
The service was impeccable, attentive but not in the least obtrusive.
It was lovely to see the place buzzing with couples, business people and families alike.
All the dishes are cooked to order and can be individualized to your taste.
All of dishes we sampled were full of aromatic flavour without the fiery harshness of some curries.
However, if you like it hot they can definitely make the food have a kick as my friend assured me! The dishes we sampled were very good size portions, elegantly presented and simply delicious! Particularly the peshwari lamb chops masala was tender and was tender, lightly spiced and very pleasantly sweet.
All of the dishes were very appealing to the eye but most importantly to the palette, we were all so full by the end but couldn't help being left wanting more.

“The Biryani was the best I've had to date, the quality of the ingredients is obvious and the generous portions and lovely atmosphere is definitely worth travelling for and if I lived here it would be my local without a doubt” Monica, Croydon
“On first arrival I thought we were going for a normal curry but it was definitely a gastronomic experience I wasn't expecting. It's exquisite posh nosh curry without the prices” James, Hampstead
